We must be prepared to defend ourselves. We are on the verge of a time of global persecution of not only the church but of all people who adhere to traditional values. Jesus said “he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one” (Luke 22:36).
There are times and circumstances when it’s appropriate to turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:39). There are other times and circumstances when it’s necessary to defend yourself and your family (Luke 22:36). God will give us wisdom by His Spirit to discern what we must do in every circumstance.
In the Past, We’ve Seen Dramatic Fulfillments of Bible Prophecies
We live in a Time of rapid fulfillment of Bible prophecies. These are indeed exciting times in which we live. There were many prophecies fulfilled at the first coming of Christ.
Isaiah 53 is a chapter that contains numerous prophecies related to the atoning work of Jesus Christ. Many prophecies were fulfilled when Christ came the first time to die for our sins. “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him [Christ] the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6).
Bible Prophecies are Being Fulfilled in Our Own Time!
Regarding His second coming, Christ Himself gave a list of things that we could expect to see in the time leading up to His second coming. In Matthew 24 and in Luke 21 there is a list of things that read like current events in the world. “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences and earthquakes, in divers places” (Matthew 24:7). This is a time of many wars and natural disasters.
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold” (Matthew 24:12).This refers to the alienation of people in our present post-modern age as the traditional family has broken down and the bonds of love that held people together are broken by the collapse of morals.
The Antichrist
“Ye have heard that antichrist shall come” (I John 2:18)
Revelation chapter 13 gives details about the coming antichrist and the global government which he will head. “They worshipped the beast” (Rev. 13:4). “Authority over every tribe and . . . nation was given to him” (Rev. 13:7 NASB). “And he causeth all . . . to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” (Rev. 13:16-17). “His number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Rev. 13:18).
Revelation 12:14-17 gives us reason to believe certain nations and rural areas will be able to escape the global government. God will give some people the ability to escape the grasp of the antichrist.
The technological revolution in our generation that has ramped up since the 1990s with the huge advances in microchips and artificial intelligence make government surveillance and control very efficient. The technology to implement Revelation 13 tyranny is now available.
Corrupt Corporations Lead to Corrupt Government
I went to college in the mid-1970s. I graduated with my BS degree in 1977. My college years were the tail end of the idealism and hippie optimism in which we thought our generation would usher in a prosperous, equitable, and environmentally clean world.
The hippies of the 1960s and early 1970s have grown up and grown old. Gray haired left wing hippies with bad ponytails now sit on corporate boards. The hippies who railed against the establishment in the 1960s have become the establishment in our own time of the 2020s. Now the cry is not “Power to the people!” The rallying cry now is “Power to the corporations!”
When I was in college studying for my BS in business, I remember seeing a course titled “The Legal Environment of the Firm.” That title always intrigued me. It was about all the laws that a business had to follow. People studying for their business degree in postmodern America of the 2020s probably would have to take a course titled “The Corporate Environment of the Government.”
Corporations Capture the Government
Corporations have an extremely undue influence on government. That may surprise you coming from me since I’m a person who champions free enterprise and business. I have a degree in business. The corporations have taken over the regulatory agencies. This is called regulatory capture.
The regulatory agencies such as the FDA and CDC hire their experts from the corporations. The corporations love to have their Senior Management get government experience so the corporations hire them back to sit on corporate boards.
So there’s a constant shift of personnel from corporations to government and back. This means that corporate experts become government experts and corporate experts dictate government policy. This is called “cronyism.” When corporations and government collude together, corruption is intensified.
The FDA, the CDC, the Department of Transportation and of course the military with its military industrial complex are examples of regulatory capture. Why is this important? What does this have to do with defending the Christian faith? Let me explain.
Corrupt Universities Lead to Corrupt Corporations
It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows anything about American colleges and universities in the early 21st century that the college environment is extremely postmodern and neo-Marxist. The universities, with few exceptions, have embraced the culture of death. Corporate executives and government bureaucrats have gone through three slaughterhouses of the mind: K-12 public school, College and graduate school.
The term liberal or liberate refers to being liberated from traditional values, which really are for the most, part biblical values. That’s what liberalism has come to mean.
The American People are the Main Obstacle to Global Totalitarianism
The United States of America is the number one impediment to the imposition of a revelation 13 type of world government headed by the antichrist. The United States, with its government of the people, by the people and for the people and our immense wealth and our great military power are the main hindrances to the imposition of global totalitarian government.
If they can overthrow the US government and install totalitarianism and constant surveillance and control of the American people, there’s no one else to stop totalitarianism from going completely global.
The number one promoter of Revelation 13 style global government is the People’s Republic of China. China, it can be argued, already has Revelation 13 style government. The Communist party of China, has total control over the people and constantly spies on its own people. China has a social credit system that rates each citizen. The Chinese people are controlled by their social credit scores and they cannot travel freely or have a good job or speak out politically if they have a low social credit score.
Technocrats Rise Up to Micromanage Our Lives
The agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and their fellow travelers who wish to impose The Great Reset have an agenda that is postmodern, post humanism and seeks to impose transhumanist technocracy over the world.
Technocracy is the political philosophy that advocates that political decisions must be imposed by experts who are outside the Democratic process. This is because in the eyes of the technocrats, the people, the ordinary rank and file voters, don’t know enough about technical issues in order to make informed decisions. A good example is the COVID crisis of recent memory.
Anthony Fauci and his fellow technocrats made the decisions to shut off any use of safe, cheap, time tested antiviral drugs as early treatment in the onset of COVID illness. This was a big surprise. In the HIV crisis of the 1980s and ’90s there were 28 antiviral drugs used against HIV. Doctors were prevented from using safe antivirals against COVID.
The technocrats made the decision that the only treatment was vaccines. Hence, they produced and barely tested the ineffective and dangerous vaccines. Vaccines are notoriously ineffective against RNA coronaviruses such as COVID because the viruses mutate too fast. Furthermore, the mRNA spike proteins in the shots activate platelets and cause blood clots and other adverse events. The many reports of adverse events were covered up to protect corporate accountability and profits.
The Culture of Death
Technocracy is anti-American. It’s an abolition of government of the people, by the people and for the people. It’s unconstitutional. The liberals seek to impose a top down totalitarian political structure to impose the culture of death on America and ultimately the entire world.
The culture of death is:
death of the unborn,
death of religious freedom
death of traditional marriage,
death of traditional family,
death of decency,
death of free enterprise business,
death of two sexes,
death of mental health,
death of border security,
death of national security,
death of medical freedom,
death of first amendment free speech,
death of gun ownership rights
death of common sense
death by fentanyl overdose,
The totalitarian concept of freedom is:
freedom to get an abortion,
freedom to read pornography,
freedom to smoke marijuana,
freedom to have a gay affair,
freedom to get sex change surgery.
What we are witnessing in America’s current culture war is a war between the centralizers and the de-centralizers It’s a war between the technocrats and the libertarians. The centralizers wanted to want to centralize all decision making in the federal government of the United States. The de-centralizers want to give decision making power to the individual and to the state and local governments.
Canadian Truckers Rose Up
We recently saw a battle in the culture war in our neighbor to the north, Canada. You remember the Canada truckers protest in which the truckers protested the COVID shot mandate and they drove their trucks to Ottawa, the capital of Canada and snarled traffic and shut it down.
The government went so far as to freeze the bank accounts of the truckers and even the bank accounts of people who sent as little as $50 to support the truckers. That whole episode of the truckers exposed the heavy hand of postmodern government in our digital banking age.
The centralizers say let the technocrats make the decisions about medical therapies in a pandemic emergency. The de-centralizers say each citizen should have the ability to give or withhold informed medical consent. Each person decides about whether or not to take the COVID shots into their own bodies and they must not be penalized for refusing the shots.
They Want Us to Trade Freedom for Safety
The centralizers know the best way to impose their central control is through an appeal to public safety. They use terms like public safety and national security as they exercise emergency powers and seek to make those powers permanent. The centralizers know that if they did a direct power grab the people would start a revolution. The people would go after the centralizers with pitchforks (also known as AR-15s).
It’s estimated that private citizens in the US own about 393 million guns. That’s well over a hundred times the number of guns owned by the US Army which owns just over 3 million small arms. (Small Arms Survey, bigthinkdotcom.)
We can look back in history and see the culture war in France during the French Revolution. The government clamped down at one point and imposed the Reign of Terror. This was directed in large part by Maximilian Robespierre (1758-1794) who headed up the Committee of Public Safety. “Public safety”? Does that sound familiar? They want to take care of us. They want to keep us safe and secure. Aren’t they wonderful? Shouldn’t we give them all the decision making power?
Huge corporations, huge tech firms like Google, Facebook and others work with the governmental regulatory agencies and law enforcement agencies such as the FBI. Huge corporations are essentially midwifing the birthing of a centralized totalitarian command structure based in the federal government of the United states.
Several Ways to Resist
What do we do to counteract this? What can we do to resist? There are many things we can do. First and foremost, we must trust the Lord and pray for protection and for God’s wisdom on how to deal with the attempt at theft of our freedoms.
Then we must take some practical steps. Each of us should have 6 months to a year of food supply.
Another practical step is to work for the government. Apply for jobs at the federal, state and local level. Be the bureaucrat. Be a government expert who tells the truth for a change. Run for office. Get on your local school board. Work for your city’s Child Protective Services office. Become a police officer. Become a teacher. Go to work for the FBI.
I read of an instance of a Christian man in Nazi Germany in the 1930s who went to work for the government. From this position he was able to save many lives.
Bible Prophecies Prove Divine Inspiration of the Bible
The Bible is unique because it contains prophecy and fulfillment of prophecy.
The alleged holy books of other faiths, such as the Quran, the Tripitaka, and the Tibetan book of the Dead and others have few, if any predictive prophecies. No holy book of any other faith can even remotely match the Bible’s record on prophecy and fulfillment of prophecy!
The prophecies of Isaiah 53, Daniel 9, Matthew 24 and Revelation 13 and hundreds of other Bible prophecies are like God’s signature on his holy Bible showing that it is indeed inspired by God. God knows the future. God created the future!
God’s Love and Redemption
God loves people. The pagan gods don’t love people. Brahma doesn’t love you. The ancient Greek pagan god, Zeus, doesn’t love you. The spirits of modern Wicca don’t love you. The only God who loves you and redeems you is the biblical Judeo-Christian God!
People are taking a new look at Christianity. They reflect on the fact that Jesus came in fulfillment of over 300 Old Testament prophecies. They are aware of the miracles of Christ.
The ancient Hebrew prophets of the Old Testament foretold the coming of Messiah (Christ) and that He would die for our sins. Isaiah the prophet wrote “the LORD hath laid on him [Messiah] the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6). I invite you to turn to Christ today to receive forgiveness of sins!
